4 months ago I got the rode nt2a with the interface from focusrite 3 gen
I only need a smartest laptop / pc
and the recording for the vocal program.
For months I made good experiences with the audiocity (free) program and I'm slowly finding it time to buy something clever. Of course, it shouldn't be too expensive.
I looked up a par DAW at Thomann but did not get the job done.
my question to you, which DAW would be suitable for me? And should I get a laptop (the standard ones) or a Mc Book or an i .Mac?
There's no such thing as the best DAW. However, there's the best DAW for you. You can only find out by trying out, which makes more sense if you know what is important. Basically, you have to feel comfortable with the interface and the workflow.
It is precisely the workflow that distinguishes the DAWs from one another. Pro Tools is unsuitable for electronic music production, for example, because editing MIDI is extremely cumbersome. But it is the Ferrari in audio processing and standard in recording studios. I also know Logic and Studio One as high quality. If you are into electronic music production, Ableton, Cubase, Logic and FL Studio are recommended.
My favorite for electronic music production is Ableton because the workflow makes sense to me and is very intuitive and pragmatic. Ableton is also one of the best in terms of quality when rendering audio down (yes, there are better and worse DAWs): https://src.infinitewave.ca/
When it comes to laptops, I'm clearly on the dark side of power, the MacBooks. They have their price, but in my opinion it is justified. 3000 euro for one pro and without exaggeration you have 8-10 years of peace and quiet and in the end the same performance as on the first day. For a smart Windows laptop you pay 1500 euro and it is scrap after 5 years at the latest. On the way there it gets slow, parts break and viruses get on your nerves.
Then all the best and have fun
Thank you for your answer, finally someone answers.
yes I read FL Studio once.
Of course I've read that Apple products (electrical) are better! And if I got hold of something from Apple, I would just buy the Logic program.
and what would your opinion be, should it be an iMac or a MacBook?
An IMac will of course last a little longer, but it is not mobile. I have a MacBook Pro and I wouldn't buy an IMac either. If I ever get a Mac Pro, if I need even more power, but I'm still a long way from that 😄
