Windows driver installation?

I would like to install Windows 8.1 on my notebook on a new hard drive using a USB stick. Can I install the Windows Update drivers after the download?

If 8.1 manages to install the networks and then also to identify the missing components accordingly, then it may be that it also installs the appropriate drivers via WinUpdate

And what if not

Then you go there and use another PC or notebook, check the network to see if you can load the right drivers manually, put them on a USB stick and then install them yourself
