Keyboard lights up, but suddenly stops working?

I was just about to plug my keyboard into the laptop, but it stopped working (not a single key).

It still worked yesterday evening, but now only the RGB lighting is on and the USB hub on the keyboard also works. I've already tried several USB ports and uninstalled the drivers, which also doesn't work.

Has the keyboard just broken out of nowhere?

That can happen.

Do you have another device that you can try the keyboard on, perhaps with a friend or relative? If the same thing happens there, then it is probably defective. Otherwise, there's also a defect on your computer or on the USB controller of your computer.

My keyboard has batteries and they recently ran out of batteries. It works again after inserting new batteries.

Addition: I solved the problem myself. The keyboard is the Corsair K70 RGB Lux - it was in "demo mode", to fix it I had to perform a soft reset by unplugging it and holding down esc, plug it back in and release esc after 5 seconds. Now it works fine again.
