Laptop touchpad not working (code 24)?

The touchpad on my laptop has not been working for a few days. Then I checked the device manager and it says that error code 24 has occurred. My question would now simply be whether someone can help me how I can fix this error. Would really help me a lot.

If I notice an error, I restart. If that doesn't help, reset to factory settings. It usually works.

Try to uninstall the drivers and restart again and then the drivers should be reinstalled shouldn't help either try a driver update if that doesn't help then the touchpad is most likely broken. Which laptop do you have?

Yes I have tried a few times to make a driver update, unfortunately, nothing helped. Would it make sense as the colleague wrote below to simply reset the factory settings below?
