How can I get rid of this malware?

So for about 5 years is a virus on an old laptop because my 11 year old I was an idoit and just downloaded something from the first page… And yes. He used to check with a relative who, for whatever reason, did not find the main culprit. It was "save and surf" I believe… In any case, what with surf and I have not really found anything how I get away… I have only a 5 years old avira aufm lappi but through the maleware I can't be protected in the Iweb because of proxy ( The maleware provides spam advertising and garbage) Does anyone know of how I get that away? Simply delete or uninstall is not enough or? I've searched but many also found strange ways (All english) And so I could not do anything… I would like to have the stuff down because a couple of things from the lappi I would like to have secured but because I do not know what's there's that too risky…

Maybe see if you notice something strange in Task Manager, and end the conspicuous processes. If you are unsure if you should finish something or not google is your friend. If you manage to temporarily stop the malware through the Task Manager, use a newer version of an antivirus and try your luck.

I'm not an expert, but it's just an idea.

These are certainly over 50 pieces I do not know… Is that different in Vista than in Windows 10?

Zo

If the laptop has a CD drive, get some Linux live distribution, boot the system, from CD and download a current virus scrub program. You can then have everything cleaned up under Windoof.

Is Windows Vista unfortunately

Op

Generally, Vista is less secure, you could perhaps pull down the important files with a USB stick, and set up the device again.

From Vista, I'm just a little clueless xD

Can viruses and so not be transferred as well?

At

My advice would be to boot with Linux (live CD or USB stick), back up data and then format computers completely…

Is Windows

That does not matter. Download Linux as a live CD and start on the computer…

Can't viruses be transferred when backing up?

At

Well, since Linux works differently, the virus will not run on Linux. So saving is not an issue for now. If necessary, I would check the data for viruses on a computer (or live Linux directly) …

Ce

Of course its possible. But unlikely. Load the data in a cloud best.

Just take a look. For that I would have to ask the owner (yes, we had unfortunately only borrowed it…)
