Exchanging laptop graphics what consequences?

What would be the consequences if I installed another graphics card in a laptop? So because of the power consumption and other consequences. I can't find any information about the GTS 360M anywhere else I could actually know it myself.

Laptop: Toshiba satellite A500-14H

The current graphics card that is in it: AMD ATI Radeon 4650 Mobility

The graphics card that should go in: Nvidia GTS 360M

Most likely, your current graphics unit is soldered, so it won't even work.

However, if it is actually in an MXM slot, an upgrade is not recommended. Laptops are already designed so that they work at the thermal limits. If you put even more energy in, the advantage is quickly gone.

You can't replace the graphics card in a laptop. The graphics unit is permanently installed on the mainboard, even if you could solve it, i.e. Solder it, you will not be able to install a new graphics chip on it.

Laptops are not made to be upgraded. Only RAM (and not always) and the hard drive can be changed.

Re

Since this is not possible, the question does not arise.

It is simply impossible to remove the graphics chipset from the notebook and to install something else.

This is the biggest disadvantage of a notebook, namely that you can't replace anything except RAM and hard drive and possibly DVD / Blu-Ray drive.

Neither the processor nor the graphics chipset, since both components are firmly connected to the main board.

Thanks, but I've already found that. I just wanted to get the information about the power consumption.

Is there the max. Power consumption.
