I will subscribe to it later this month when Disney + comes out. Is there any way to play it directly on a "normal" TV (so no SmartTV)? When I connect my laptop to the TV, the sound and picture are always out of sync (picture comes later). The TV has Wi-Fi
So what would come to my mind first would be a Chromecast or an Amazon Fire TV Stick, so you have a Smart TV (But before that, see if you have USB slots).
I guess at least at the beginning no "it doesn't work".
Because for the TV (we don't know which one you have and before you write it later - we don't care either) there won't be a Disney + APP at the beginning. The app developers will also need some time to create an app. If your TV is a bit older, I would not necessarily expect an app to come.
But otherwise there's a website from Disney + where you can find out which devices are supported:

If in doubt, you just get an Amazon Fire TV Stick or something.
You don't necessarily need a USB port for the Amazon Fire tv Stick. The stick comes in the HDMI input and a normal power supply is included for power

If the app is available on your smartphone or tablet, you can stream it on the TV using a Google Chromecast Stick, which also works from an iPhone
