Have a Maxdata M-Book 1000T
AMD Atlon XP with 1.4 GHZ and 1GB Ram.
The part is from 2003.
I can now forget Windows.
Which operating system can you still use sensibly with it today?
(The part is not used for an important task, the finishing has sentimental reasons)
Linux always works!

Linux would go. Try Xubuntu.
According to "Kleinweich" the minimum requirements for Windows 10 are:
Processor: Processor or SOC with 1 GHz (gigahertz) or faster
RAM: 1 GB (gigabytes) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit operating systems
Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32-bit or 20 GB for 64-bit operating systems
Graphics card: DirectX 9 or higher with WDDM 1.0 driver
Display: 800 x 600
I would upgrade the RAM to 4GB! Then it should be okay!
Otherwise you take a Linux distribution like:
Q4OS, Damn Small Linux, LXLE, TinyCore, Absolute Linux, …
But the 32-bit versions of the large distros should also run if you do without Gnome and KDE and instead use Mate, Cinnammon or Xfce as a desktop.

A Linux distrbution.

Or Puppy Linux would work too.
For god's sake… Just not linux. The worst operating program ever
Said the ignorant…
Who has more experience than you.
Definitely not.
And that for 15 years.
I tell you, what are 15 years…
Well… I'm pretty intelligent. I don't need 30 years to notice that something is bad.
Which one is better?
