Did I get a virus from an email?

I just received an email from "Apple" with the message "Your Purchase from Apple" that had a dot file attached. As naive and stupid as I was, I opened the email on my iPhone in the GMX app and clicked on the attachment. The attachment could not be downloaded and so I stupidly forwarded the email to my friend so that she can tell me what it says. She also said it can't be downloaded / displayed (also open on Iphone). It occurred to me that it was probably a scam and that I probably downloaded a virus and also sent it to my girlfriend. When I googled a little bit it came out that it was a phishing mail. However, it says everywhere that you should enter your data there, which didn't come with me and my girlfriend. As I said, nothing came from us. Now I'm afraid that I have downloaded a virus on my iphone and on my girlfriend's iphone. It would save my life if someone could write to me whether I had downloaded a virus or was lucky to have opened the email on my cell phone, as we had nowhere to enter our private data. And if I downloaded a virus or something, what should I do with my cell phone? Should I reset it or change all passwords on my laptop? I appreciate any feedback from someone who knows more about it than I do.

If the iPhone does not have a jailbreak, you can basically not run any software there that does not come from the App Store. This is only possible by actively installing an enterprise certificate from the developer, but you get that, because you have to do it yourself, it does not work automatically.

If the two iPhones are up to date, there should be no danger. Apple knows its target group, so don't worry.
