Win7 is a bad idea. There's no longer a security update for Win7.

… Are Wi-Fi networks displayed?

Since there's no longer support for Windows 7, you can no longer help there. But you can still switch to Windows 10 for free. The Windows 7 product key is also accepted when activating Windows 10.

First read out and note down the Windows 7 product key with this tool: https://www.chip.de/...63752.html

Then go to the Microsoft website and download the Media Creation Tool. You can use it to create a Windows 10 USB boot stick. For this you need an empty formatted stick.
Simply boot the created stick and follow the instructions of the installation wizard. It offers the possibility to delete everything. You should do that. The laptop is restarted several times during installation.
After completing the installation and starting Windows 10 for the first time, the wizard offers the creation of a Microsoft account. If you don't have one yet, you should create one. Otherwise, log in with your Microsoft account. Then activate Windows 10 with the noted Windows 7 product key. The activation will then be saved permanently in your Microsoft account.
The last step is to go to the manufacturer's website for your laptop. Download and install the drivers there.
If you turn off the desktop effects in Windows 10, it will even run faster than Windows 7.
If you have to reinstall Windows 10, just log in again with your Microsoft account. Windows 10 will then be reactivated automatically. You no longer have to enter the product key.
