I wanted to know what others think / mean about different brands.
Please give reasons.
No problems except for the stupid new keyboard, but Apple replaced it at their expense.
Price is steep but for my purposes everything runs extremely smoothly.
The only acceptable portable pc is a surface.
I don't care about the brands as long as it works and is not from Apple and the quality is right
I had various notebooks from thosiba, asus and acer. I currently have my third acer and I'm still absolutely satisfied. Is now almost 6 years old, had a small RAM update - but runs like ne 1. The old ones always had problems with the folding mechanism, which usually broke after 4 or 5 years. Mine is implemented a little differently - and absolutely stable.

Although not for long - Asus has announced that they want to increase prices.
The reason is that they currently earn so little on graphics cards and the production is so expensive.
