What does that mean and what can I do about it

It always happens when I want to watch a video or photo on my 12-year-old laptop (I no longer use it).

The laptop had Win7 but I switched to Win10.

Habs tried and it did not work. That's why I'm asking here…

I suspect the following:

For the default program to display the video or photo, a registry value is entered in dre registry that does not correspond to a valid, installed program.

Try opening the video / photo like this:

Right click → Open with → select standard program → Dnan select the program with which you want to open these files. If it is not in the list, you have to use the corresponding existing "Browse" button and search for the program on your computer → Set it to "Always use this program to open files of this type" → Confirm.

Now files of this type should also be opened nromal again.

Now it works.
