Search DJ program for the laptop?

I'm looking for a useful (and best free) program to To play music on New Year's Eve or other festivities. It would be best if the program also has an automatic mode in which it automatically mixes songs and adjusts the volume (I have no desire to be behind the PC all the time).

I imagine it like this: Put the music you want into a folder, load it into the program and even mix it, or start the automatic and have the program done.

Is there something in a free version at all for Windows 10 (64 bit)? Would be very grateful for suggestions.

I use UltraMixer. There's certainly a free version…

jopp, there's!

I recommend Mixxx: https://www.mixxx.org/ This is the most complete free DJ software for Windows, Mac and Linux. It even has more features than the paid version of Virtual DJ. Every sound card and over 100 DJ controller models are supported. Also timecode sound discs.

Mixxx also has a recording function to record its live mix as well as a broadcast function, so you can stream your live mix like a web radio station.

A database gives you quick access to your music. You can also create so-called "Plattenkisten".

During the installation you can choose the language.

I downloaded it now and played around with it a bit. Is exactly what I was looking for, perfect!

The program is also used by professionals, even if I do not know why… Are you still serato or the stuff of Pioneer.

Virtual DJ has the advantage (disadvantage) that it is very freely configurable. Also the key assignment. Add to that the "programming language" to get all possible and impossible commands. Simple example, different commands by long press of a button or double click or triple click or hold or combination with other buttons, etc. Completely free. That's really cool.

I downloaded a few programs and tried them out, and got stuck with MIXXX. Does exactly what it should and what I want and is not quite as complex as I think.

I'm only very rarely involved with it, it's only for parties and such. However, if you want to use it as a "real DJ", I believe it is better with VDJ.

Sure, of course. Is all a matter of taste. 😊
