How can I improve the performance of the E2228T medion notebook?

Am

Software technology:

You can uninstall all unnecessary programs, remove them from the autostart, set the battery power to maximum performance and clean up the desktop. I also recommend updating all drivers.

Hardware-related:

You can buy RAM for the laptop and add it in to give the laptop more RAM. But you have to find out which RAM it needs and whether it is even possible to increase the RAM.

Furthermore, if you have an HDD hard drive: You can install an SSD hard drive, so the PC reads the data faster. Then you just have to reinstall Windows, OR: load a backup of the HDD onto the SSD.

If your laptop is losing performance because it gets hot quickly, you can buy a good fan plate for laptops, this will lower the temperature a little and your components will run better.

Unfortunately, I can't call up the notebook right now, but I'm assuming that it comes with little RAM and an HDD. You could also replace the HDD with an SSD, or expand / replace the RAM to at least 8GB. Energy options can also be adjusted, either using options optimized for the product or setting them to maximum performance

It seems like everything is soldered on the board here.

You won't be able to do anything about that

Not at all. CPU and RAM are soldered. I couldn't find out whether this is also the case with the 64GB Flash. But the CPU is so slow that upgrading with an SSD is not worthwhile.

It then makes sense to adapt the tasks to the skills. With a Xubuntu, you can enjoy the device when you want to use it on the Internet or write in LibreOffice. If you need more power, there's no tinkering, but buying a faster device.

I'm afraid too. I don't even know if the device can be opened without any problems.

Lieder seems to be soldered to the RAM of the device so that a change is not possible. As far as I can see, the eMMC flash drive can't be exchanged for an SSD.

Yes, the RAM and HDD will not work with this model. I wasn't sure if it was even possible. But everything else should bring success.

In any case, your tips are generally helpful and are only limited by the type of laptop.
