How many GB do you need for the MC installation?

I would like to know how many GB you need to install the Minecraft Launcher on your PC / laptop (Java version). Please only correct answers, thanks!

In theory, 4 GB is enough. But I would recommend at least 8 to you. If you are still playing with mods, there's little upper limit. I play with 16 GB and depending on the number of mods that can be a little. (i.e. The 100+ mod packages) But for a vanilla MC, 8 GB is enough for comfortable gaming.
