Should I calibrate the notebook display?

I always see that the people of Notebookcheck always calibrate the display with new notebooks and the picture should look so much better than in the factory condition. I always thought that the work condition was optimal. Should I calibrate my display?

Is only useful if you operate image processing on the computer.
