I have installed a game on a notebook in Steam that I already have in the library in Steam on another notebook and also play there. How can I download the current game status from the Steam cloud on the one notebook on which I have reinstalled the game, so that I can always pick up where I left off on the other notebook?
It happens automatically. Every game that supports the function synchronizes the cloud when it starts.
Why do I have to start the game from the beginning now when I have already progressed further on the other notebook? Is there any way I can continue playing the game right where I left off on the other notebook?
Thank you for your answer. I didn't know either that the games did that.
Does the game have the function of using the cloud? This is actually standard with all newer games, but there are exceptions.
Otherwise it can have various causes, e.g. The cloud was not accessible when Steam is used in offline mode or something similar.
