I bought a laptop from the seller. It was damaged by DHL's fault. I reported the matter to PayPal, PayPal asked me to return the laptop to the seller and gave the money back. The seller didn't pick up the laptop and came back to me. He said PayPal took his money and he was contacting a lawyer. What should I do with his laptop?
Ask the seller to reimburse you for the shipping costs for a tracked return shipment in order to get his laptop back.
And you write the same thing to his lawyer if he should get in touch.
The seller has to deal with DHL. How he gets the device to his address is up to him. Especially since he apparently refused to accept.
The seller does not want to pick up the item. The lawyer hasn't contacted me for 3 weeks.
Then do it as I wrote.
It was damaged by DHL's fault.
I just do not understand. Why did you still have the laptop?
Actually, it had to be handed in to the post office with the damage claim. Then the sender will be informed whether the damage will be settled or not and what should happen to the damaged item (return or delivery).
Or did you just suspect the DHL fault and then switched on PayPal?
Maybe you should describe it in a more understandable way, I can't really make out from the text.
PayPal asked you to SEND the item back, not to wait for them to PICK it.
What do you mean "ust come back to me"? Has he come to you. And didn't take the laptop with you? The sentence is incomprehensible.
What do you mean by "PayPal took HIS money"?
It's YOUR money and HIS laptop!
DHL damaged the part, YOU did NOT send it back, but for some reason are waiting for the seller to pick up what is not their duty.
If I read that correctly from the writing, it's YOUR turn. YOU have to send the thing back and not wait for him to pick it up. You got your money back AND got the laptop. This is called SUBJECTION.
How do you get the idea that the seller has to pick up the part?
