If I connect a laptop to a second screen, then the second screen is detected but Windows 8.1 then starts to flash and the icons disappear from the start page! How can I solve this?
Sounds like you just need to update drivers ;-)

It can't be due to the graphics driver; the second screen is detected but it is flashing and does not work. Just as if you make the Aufkösung more than 1920x1080, then the screen is blank and only the background screen can be seen

No, the cables are not defective. And the screen works too. Which drivers other than graphics drivers are decisive?
