USB stick defective? Every computer crashes when plugged in?

I have a 64GB 3.1 USB stick on which I wanted to pull a "Windows To Go" installation with Rufus 3.5.

Unfortunately there was a power failure during the installation and now the USB stick is not properly formatted. It's even worse! No matter if Windows or Linux, laptop or PC. Each computer hangs after plugging in the USB stick and crashes immediately without blue screen.

When I tried to reinzustecken the USB stick in my Fritz box, the entire Fritz box crashed and I had to wait several hours and about 20 times the router reboot until I had Internet and Wi-Fi again.

Does anyone know how I can save and reformat the USB stick? I'm not concerned with the data that is on it. The stick was empty anyway. My concern is to make the USB stick generally functional again. He was very expensive and I do not want to throw him away! I can't exchange, because the stick is already so about 2 years old and I have no more receipt.

lo

Your stick has why always, internally a short circuit… Even if it hurts, throw it away… That's scrap…

be happy if the computers in which you have tested it are not…

I still managed to format the stick! I just connected the stick to my Android phone with an adapter. Apparently, Android is the only operating system that has been able to format the stick. Now everything works fine again.
