I need a solution to a problem at work.
Namely, we package our orders using Excel lists.
I save these on OneDrive and then share the file with the Excel app on the Windows Tablet for the others, the colleagues also work on tablets.
So we can work in a list in parallel. In the past everyone had their own list and sooner or later there were problems.
Unfortunately, both app and tablet are not very good, which is why you now think about cheap laptops.
Although not a bad idea, but I have my doubts whether you can work with normal office and OneDrive even 3-4 people at the same time the file.
Does anyone have an idea or even experience?
To my knowledge, only one can edit the table and possibly the others open to read, since it is then locked for editing.
It's the same in the regular Excel versions. But there are special variants that make it possible
Alternatively, you can use the spreadsheet document on google Drive. This is not an Excel but several users can work "live" in one document at the same time.
But with the new Office 365 it would have to work.
It is best to set up a small server and 2 clients (laptops) accessing a database. So anyone online can make their entries and the database updates this up-to-date. Since I only support Linux (I'm Linux Admin) and also only Libre Office with MySQL DB related. Will someone else do the project with MS Office and Acess in the Windoof area.
