Monitor and laptop connected, mouse pointer does not move from main screen to 2nd screen?

Have a monitor connected to my laptop and use it as the main and the Lap. Mon. As 2nd screen (extended), but unfortunately I can't move the mouse from the main to 2. How does it work?
