I bought the TELEFUNKEN D32F551R1CWI LED TV for my bedroom just under a week ago. Now I would like to watch Disney + on this one too. However, I can't find the app in the AppStore and the PlayStation is already connected in the living room.
So my question is is there any way to install the app on the device?
Of course you could also connect a laptop or mirror the screen via HDMI, but the former would be incredibly cumbersome and the latter somehow quite unnecessary.
Fire TV Stick
And how exactly does it work? I don't know my way around like this: /
Look for an update of the TV, if there's one, then maybe Disney + was added and if not: FireTV stick for example
If the TV does not have it in its App Store menu then it is not compatible with your TV.
Mobile phone - Chromecast if available to the TV and then stream or stream directly from the mobile phone to the TV if it (like my TV) has a Chromcast built-in.
I also turned to Telekom about the same problem. There I was told that there was no app for it yet. Unfortunately.
Is that so? Are there TVs that have a corresponding app? I would be surprised, because apps are rather independent…
As far as I know, the app is available for some Samsung and LG TVs.
"Currently, the app is only available on the 2020 XH95 / XH85 models and the A8 OLED TV. Philips offers Disney Plus on its 4K TVs with Android that were released in 2014 or later. Full HD TVs are currently not included as well as the 2015 models 8700, 7600 and the 7100 series. "
I found that out during my research, which is why I was so surprised that the app is not available on my fairly new TV…
Thanks for the hint. I'm looking over the media receiver from Telekom and I'm right there to take a look. Lo and behold, the Disney + app is now available. So my information was out of date. You have to see if you can get the app via an update. In any case, it now seems to be available.
This is due to the TV manufacturers. Not every smart TV has Android as the operating system. Then Disney can't and will not adapt the Disney + for each manufacturer's own operating system.
