Laptop broken?

I have a friend's laptop here, she no longer has an original power supply, and I have connected a universal power supply, so everything would have to fit (plugs, volts, etc…) … According to her statement, it just couldn't be turned on. I feel the same way, the power button flashes from time to time, but it can't be switched on and there's no hard disk noise or fan noise to be heard… I removed the battery and tried to reset… What else can I do?

Gu

It may be that the hard disk is dead or googling the blinking so enter the model in googeln and search for a Manuel and maybe it will appear what the blinking with the frequency means

Li

Unscrew the battery and hope that the circuit board is not in the bucket.

Va

Reset BIOS. Take out RAM. Is the power supply sufficient and is the voltage the same?

Va

Should still boot.

Oa

Check whether the power supply really fits. Check the socket. Take out the battery. Some laptops need a working battery, even if they run on a power supply. So check the battery.

If none of this works, unscrew it and look for errors. Make bios reset etc.

Gu

Not always had something with a PC that the hard drive is not recognized and he then did not want to boot because he recognized it as an error

Va

Then he would have to tackle anyway. Then just doesn't come to POST

In the overall context, I would also first tap on a defective battery in connection with a laptop that needs an intact battery even with a power supply.

ta

Nope. A defective hard drive clearly does not have the effects described above.

Have you ever replaced the bios battery?
