Which processor for multitasking with 16 GB of RAM?

I have an Intel Core i3-6006U and 8 GB of RAM. My RAM is always 80-90% full.

Now I want a notebook with 16 GB of RAM. I have the choice between i3 and i5. Which processor do I need so that the entire main memory can be addressed? Which generation should it be at least?
