I'm 14 (girl) looking for a good car game for my laptop, which can be played with a connectable steering wheel.
For the moment, I play Forza Motorsport without a steering wheel! I have looked at GTA but my parents are against it…

What kind of race do you want to drive?
Personally, I like Dirt Rallye. Just a rally simulation.
If you're more into street racing, it's more likely to be on the crew.
With Assetto Corsa, it's more about the racetrack.

I like The Crew 2, and Grid Autosport. Burnout Paradise Remastered is cool too, though it's older, but the new version looks really good.
Game On
First of all you should ask yourself if you want to play something realistic or arcade? Forza Motorsport 7 and Need for Speed Payback or The Crew 2, for example, are worlds apart. I think the best setting you have at The Crew 2 are cars, motorbikes, race cars, planes and a design-wise good world. Nevertheless, I find that the best racing games are currently Forza Horizon 3 and 4. In my opinion there's a good setting here, with many cars and plenty of opportunities to tune and rebuild. Especially with Horizon 4 and the changing seasons is the graphics really appealing (although I do not know if your laptop does it).
Unfortunately, I can only advise you against Need for Speed because they (as I think) have not released a really good game for years. If you like the arcade steering, you can also go to The Crew, which offers a far more exciting gaming experience.
