Hello when starting sims 4, the screen remains black and the PC also no longer responds, I have to switch it off.
Laptop
Graphics NVIDIA> 540m
Processor i5
System Win10 64bit
I have Windows, as well as graphics drivers and sims as well as origin up-to-date, have deactivated the virus protection and allowed sims4 with the firewall, had sims4 repaired and reinstalled, the chaches deleted from origin and from sims4, have selected both graphics chips one after the other without success, mods are not on it, the 32 bit variant does not start either.
Sorry for the limited sentence structure etc. But have been trying to get it running for 72 hours
Strongly assume that the gt 540m does not support the shader model used by Sims. But then there's always a directx message. Have you ever watched the load in Task Manager?
Unfortunately there's no error message, unfortunately I can't open the task manager and check the workload
As I said, I strongly believe that it's the GPU.
So our 2 laptop with an Intel centrino 2 and a gt 240m runs sims 4 (only low settings)
Go to the nvidia control panel and set that the lowest settings are used for sims 4.
Unfortunately without success (nvidia switched from quality to performance) I also checked directs x, the latest version is installed (via Microsoft directly)
