Windows 10 activation: bad if not?

I bought a used laptop some time ago. However, for a few days now I have been shown that Windows must be activated. However, this requires the product key and how I can get it.

Now my question: Is it bad if Windows is not activated or are the consequences of it generally negative when it comes to using the laptop?

Well actually it's not bad. However, you have this annoying watermark and can't use some settings.

You can get such keys for 20 euro. It would be worth it to me to get this watermark away. If you want I'll give you one too. Got a few lying around.

It's not bad, but you have to live with restrictions.
You can "crack" your key, but would not recommend it.

Tip: You can buy a cheap Windows 7 key and then use it for Windows 10.

You can also use Windows without a license, but gradually, user adjustments are switched off. It doesn't look good, it may be annoying, but it doesn't hurt.

Mostly an MS sticker can be found on the device itself, on the back near the serial number, if this is not the case, it is included with the accessories, if you do not have it you can buy a key if necessary, costs about 5 euro for a volume or OEM license. Here is a good search page for Keys: https://www.keyforsteam.de/

Make sure that you buy a suitable key (Pro / Home / Enterprise only fit for the respective installation).
