I wanted to send a PDF document via email, but it is not displayed in the email; it just means that you have to upgrade the PDF viewer. However, as soon as I download the file to the laptop that created it, it suddenly works. But I can't watch them downloaded on my mobile phone either.
I can't even print it; when I plug the USB stick into the copier and click print, I get the same hint that I supposedly need a PDF viewer upgrade.
I suspect there's some security barrier preventing the file from being read on any device other than my laptop (it is an automatically generated scholarship application form).
Does anyone know what i can do? I urgently need to send this form to one of my lecturers so that he can issue me a report on time…
Try to open the PDF in your browser.
Most have a "viewer" pre-installed as a module / plug-in and open it.
Then it will probably only work with the latest adobe reader or have functions that other viewers can't display.
An update is missing.
Upload another, different app.
How can I update my Adobe Reader? Open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and navigate to "Help" in the top menu bar and then select "Check for updates…". The software will now automatically search for available updates.
