I have a laptop with integrated Bluetooth.
When I connect the laptop to the controller he indicates with being paired, but I can't use it. The LED bar does not light up at the top.
I installed a DSTool afterwards but via Bluetooth the tool does not recognize the controller.
Maybe you need the original USB wireless adapter…
Which one do you mean? The adapter is only for pcs that have no Bluetooth?

I needed this adapter to connect a PS4 controller to my PC and play games via PS Now. Although the controller itself could be paired with the PC with a no-name Bluetooth adapter for less than 10 euro, the PS Now client program did not recognize the controller. Too bad, because PS Now does not need the additional features of this adapter. 3 stars because of the high price.

I use my PS4 controller with USB cable, so I can't tell you that from my own experience or so… The adapter is very expensive, I think. Maybe just a 3m USB cable is enough.
However, that says something else ^^
Who can read is clearly in the advantage! It is about a mouse / keyboard adapter that may not have any bluetooth, as this person does not have a standard Bluetooth standard. Please only clever answers, half-knowledge brings you no further.
