Powerline is always the worst of the connectivity options. In a densely populated area, it may be better than 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, but that's about it.
As long as you only have to go through a ceiling, 5 GHz WLAN works perfectly. Have you already found out with your mobile phone? Return the Powerline Kit and buy the TP-Link Archer T2UH Stick for 20 euro. Then you get the 100 Mbit / s to the PC.

The T2UH works fine with me, Ping is at 25ms and over 10m as the crow flies with two walls (but with doors) in between come from 200 Mbit / s still good 100 at.
I do not know any cards, as I only recommend sticks. Make much less trouble, at least as long as you have a good one. Also had one of the highly praised AVM, who has not been good for nothing.
