3D Mark Time Spy?

I have a question. I just did a benchmark with 3D mark, I used Time spy and I got 7741 points with my laptop. Now I don't know what to do with it. Is it good or bad or average for a laptop? What kind of scores do you have? And can I compare that anywhere? Find nothing about that.

What do you use for a laptop, like to pass on the specs.

Maybe tomorrow I can do one with my desktop, I'll write the results to you then.

Specs:

• I9 9900K @ 4.6 GHz

• MSI z390 gaming per carbon

• 16 GB @ 3200 MHz (dual channel)

• RTX 2070 OC Strix Edition

St

Uii that would be great to see how my laptop performs compared to your pc.

It is definitely an Msi laptop. I don't know me very well sorry: / just wanted to play and just wanted to know if the small good was. I have the specs here.

Intel core I7 10750H

16 GB DDR 4 dual

RTX 2070 Mobile

Unfortunately I don't know any more

De

Uiii who can be seen 😯

Guess my desktop won't get too many more points.

The laptop graphics cards are simply clocked down a little because of the heat

That will probably be the only point.

Maybe with the multicore performance a little bit, but then that's it.

In any case, you can safely play and have fun with it. MSI also makes great gaming laptops 😁

unfortunately there are no publishing benchmarks with your CPU GPU combo, but since the GPU is the most important anyway, I gave you a link above with the RTX 2070 (notebook)

The average score with this GPU is 7343

St

Thank you very much, very kind, you seem to know your way around, that's why. How can it be that the others in the score list have better scores despite the same graphics card and sometimes worse CPU. Do you overclock your devices? Or is there something wrong with me?

St

Does this mean that the same RTX 2070 is in my laptop as in a desktop pc? Tackled down a bit? But how does it fit in there o.o it looks like a brick

St

And one more question, today I tried to play Gta 5 and GTA 5 which came out in 2013 or so should run optimally but there you can find FPS at the highest settings under 30 during games like the witcher 3 and just cause 3 etc. Highest settings without problems 80 FPS? In addition, GTA 5 is the one game where the CPU gets over 80 degrees, do you have an idea why this could be why my laptop has so big problems with this one game? I only know that the grass settings are very high and ultra grass the fps fall into the basement.

De

No, of course not.

The in the desktop PC's have a massive heat sink (with fans and heat dissipation)

However, what is under this heat sink is the same as the seat namely the board and the actual GPU

In the case of a laptop, this board is simply installed and sometimes a small fan is placed on it.

But since this massive heat sink is no longer there in the laptop, the GPU can't ignite the full power it could actually do because if it did, it would overheat and this can of course lead to damage.

Therefore, the laptop GPUs are also called Mobile Edition because they no longer have this heat sink and were clocked down at the factory.

But keep your hands off when overclocking, the GPU is still more than enough.

You know your way around and I have so many questions.

De

Exactly because it came out in 2013, it is of course no longer on the "current" performance standards

If you set the setting to Ultra, you automatically set a setting to the maximum (Unfortunately I forgot the name of this setting, Sorry!) In any case, this setting means that the cars do not pop up before you but are calculated beforehand.

Even if you set DX12, of course, this goes massive to the FPS

My computer can no longer keep up with the above settings.

My recommendation is to watch a YouTube video on the optimal settings, it would be best if the creator of the video uses roughly the same components.

De

Just to me the questions. Glad I can help 👍🏼

St

Very nice. I don't want to be pushy but can we maybe switch to a kind of messenger? If that is allowed to ask here in the forum. If not, I just keep asking here.

De

With pleasure. How about Snapchat or Instagram? Discord would of course also fit perfectly.

St

I have Discord, there's my name Voyager and ID # 4477

Cooling is particularly important for mobile devices, since GPUs and CPUs have turbos, and the duration and performance of these boosts are determined by the temperature and the power limit. Laptops with large cooling are noticeably better than those with small cooling, despite identical hardware!

In addition, various programs can of course change the fan speed, the voltage and the power limit, which means that the parts, for example, have less voltage at higher speed, which reduces power consumption and improves heat output!
