What is the name of the comparable Retina (Apple) display on normal non Apple notebooks?

Who can suggest a model with a similar screen?

Oc

MacBooks have around 220ppi (pixel density).

That's 2880 x 1800 for the MacBook Pro and 2560 x 1600 for the 13 MacBook Pro.

The resolution is not so special considering the fact that smartphones offer three times the resolution today, but where Apple's displays are really unique, the view angle (even if you look at it at an angle, they are colourfast) and the true color ( I do not know a notebook display that shows colors better). In addition, due to Apple's software integrity, they are spared calibration errors.

Although MacBooks still use an LCD screen and no OLED or even AMOLED, the high quality can largely compensate for typical disadvantages such as that black colors look rather gray.

The only notebook displays I know that nearly reach this point are the Microsoft Surface Book Displays. But there you are then in the similar price range.

There's no laptop, which comes to this quality. A MacBook is worth every penny.

The Retina Display of the MacBooks from 2016 are an IPS display with 100% P3 color space, a resolution of 2560x1600 or 2880x1800 pixels and a brightness of 500cd / m2

The black level is also extremely good. Unfortunately you can't compare that in numbers

Comparable displays are, for example, the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga G3, but they have a slightly lower resolution and no 100% P3.

On the website Geizhals.de you can set the parameters and so watch yourself.

And if there are.
