Jo! As Christmas slowly but surely comes closer, and I urgently need a new laptop with MacOS, I now wonder if I should rather buy the standard model of the MacBook Pro's or the 1499 euro version of the MacBook Air's. I will attach 2 texts with the data of the two models
Thank you in advance
MacBook Pro (13 inches):
1.4GHz quad-core 8th-generation Intel Core i5 processor
Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645
8GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory
128GB SSD storage1
Retina display with True Tone
Touch Bar and Touch ID
2 Thunderbolt 3 ports
MacBook Air (13 inches):
Retina display with True Tone
1.6GHz dual-core 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory
256GB SSD storage1
Intel UHD Graphics 617
Touch ID
Force Touch trackpad
2 Thunderbolt 3 ports
It all depends on what you want to do with it.
To write texts and watch videos are both absolutely sufficient, if you now want to cut videos or produce music, then you should definitely grab the more powerful MacBook Pro.
Wow! Thank you for your prompt reply. Will the MacBook for image editing, make music and sometimes even play League of Legends or something… Immernoch the Pro?
Personally, I would not take either. The problems would be too diverse for me. TFT, keyboard, batteries, CPUs that flare, flight ban and so on.
But you have to know that. Otherwise for what you want to do, the Pro Book.
Yes, then you should definitely resort to the Pro model. But best not the entry-level model with only 128 GB SSD, which is fast, but at least 256GB SSD.
