I have a picture here on my notebook that I would like to delete, but that is not possible

It says delete at the top but I can't press it or it is not red but gray

Ok cool. And now some more information?

What OS does your notebook use? Where exactly is the picture stored? Do you also have rights for this folder etc.

Bl

Oh sorry

So there's windows 10 on it

And yes I have the right ones

So I can open the picture too

Your hard drive may have a crash and if this were the case, the files could no longer be recognized. Is there any message about administration rights or is it stored in a safe folder?

What would also be conceivable is that he somehow basically no longer has the file anymore, but it is still somehow visible. Could you postpone it or anything else?

Bl

I tried to move the picture to a folder but it doesn't work

Ch

Try to restart your PC maybe it is still open somewhere

Bl

OK

St

And you access it with the normal Explorer?

And yes I have the right ones

So I can open the picture too

that you can read the picture does NOT automatically mean that you also have write access… Can you add new files in the folder?

Try the "Del" key instead of the GUI… Is there an error message?

po

Have your hard drive checked very quickly, if files just can't be moved, he has a problem with saving them. Or the right one in most cases. You could try defragmenting again and see if that helps somehow. I had a hard drive crash and bit by bit I couldn't access most of the files. They were there but you couldn't open anything, move anything or delete anything.

For stubborn files that are not released by any processes are blocked and I'm not in the mood to search for the process, I have been using the Unlocker tool for ages. It shows the processes that prevent access and you can terminate them. However, there's usually a message that says that the files can't be deleted or that you do not have the rights.

Maybe your restart was enough. Sometimes Windows does not know that a file has already been deleted and keeps showing the file. However, one step is usually enough to go back and forth in the folder structure.

So nothing happens when I press Del and the picture is just quick access

First rule for something like this - unless it is a "rights problem":
Check the drive with chkdsk.
You should first be sure that the drive is not faulty.

Okay I will thank you

Malware can't be completely ruled out either. ADW cleaner is quite good from Malewarebytes.de
