I need a 5.25 inch floppy drive WITH USB CONNECTOR to use Windows 1.0 and others on my old Toshiba laptop.

I mean from windows 10 make windows 1.0 on floppy and use on the old laptop.

Can someone send me a link to buy something like that?

OMG. Look on ebay and is good. Would be skeptical, however, if that works with the power requirement only via USB.

And with Windows 1.0 it gets tight with a USB port, because DOS does not bring a driver. You can organize it then so.

I'm afraid to find a local dealer with USB floppy drive is not the only hurdle.

USB is a technology that simply did not exist in the days of Windows 1. Similar to probably the majority of the existing hardware Windows 1 will not get installed on such "new" hardware. Driver support can be bent in this case.

could help you there rather and is satisfied thanks to appropriate modifications with a disgusting USB stick for installation.

You can buy them everywhere.

But: why do you want to do that? Drag the images to a USB stick.

Windows 1.0 runs as a stand-alone program under MS-DOS. That means you have to install MS-DOS first. Since you will already get the first problems, if you come there with USB.

Windows 1.0 is NOT an operating system. In addition, the interaction between DOS and Windows 1.0 was not exactly the best.

You can buy them everywhere.

Show me. I can't find one.

Et al EBay.

And if you do not want to, then you just take an "adapter" of 34 pin to USB for cheap money. Or you can get the Kryoflux right away.

Overall, the project is doomed to failure anyway. Since then I need no effort to amchen something easy to find elsewhere to find.

Unfortunately, no.

I generally see two or three possibilities.

Either you get a 3½ "drive connected to the Windows1 computer and a 3½" USB drive, or you just copy the image onto a 3½ "floppy disk and then dissect it to a 5¼" disk in a computer with two different drives,

or you get this adapter:

Then you connect with appropriate adapters the 5¼ "drive from your windows1 computer, so you can then make the image…
