Good laptop for school purposes?

I'm looking for an affordable, lightweight and slim laptop. I would need him for school purposes. (E-mails, Powerpoint, etc.) Do you have recommendations? It should be light and narrow enough that I can stow it in my backpack and take it to school.

Should it be a Windows laptop with original Microsoft PowerPoint? Do you need a touch screen? Maybe even a stylus for writing? Because then there are good and affordable Chromebooks that can do those things well. How big should the laptop be? I'm assuming that the screen should be from 10 inches tall, but not larger than 14 or 15 inches, so it remains easy to transport. What does "affordable" mean to you? Also, how big is your backpack and what does "easy" mean for yourself?

If these questions are clarified, I can certainly recommend something suitable ;-)
