Go to the manufacturer's website for the printer. Download the software there: https://support.hp.com/...l/19135313 You have to download the 5 software packages and the driver universal printer driver (basic driver).
Then connect the printer to the laptop and install the basic driver and software. Otherwise you can't use all functions.
After you have installed everything, you can print out the test page.
