Notebook: Battery or broken cable?

Hello 😊, as I do not know so well with laptops, I hope someone here can answer my question. I have a Fujitsu notebook (Lifebook A Series), the laptop only charges a maximum of 30% (which may suggest the battery). In addition, the screen is always a bit lighter and darker, which has made me aware that, although the cable is connected, not permanently recognized (change every second). Unfortunately I do not know anyone who has a suitable cable, so I can't just try it.

If I take out the battery and turn on the laptop, it goes on for a few seconds (drives up, logo appears) and turns off immediately.

Maybe someone knows and can give me a "safe" answer due to my information?

Take the battery out and operate the laptop only with the charging cable, then you know whether it is cable.

The laptop goes on but does not charge and eventually goes out. Sorry for the question, but I really do not know myself. What does that mean in the end?

Improvement: He drives up, but before I can sign up he goes out
