Headset in the interview?

My conversation is taking place online because of Corona. Can you put on a headset and communicate via it or is that rather undesirable and I have to talk over the microphone of the laptop?

Jo

Of course you can use a headset.

De

If someone doesn't want that, they'll tell you.

I think in-ear headphones would be best. Business headsets too. But headset, I don't know if it will go down well… (It's just the weird world of job interviews: /)

P.S good luck.

Rh

You can, especially since the quality is then significantly better

Ei

As long as you are easy to understand and can hear your "counterpart" well, nobody can tell you anything.

Basically, however, I can tell you from my own experience that a real microphone looks more professional at first and, if set correctly, has less noise than a headset. Things like unintentional breathing into the microphone, background noise, etc.
