I bought a new computer with Win10 and thought I can now install Win 10 on my Win7 laptop. However, after a Google search, I read that Win10 only has one license, so it is valid for one computer.
Is that correct?

What you researched on Google is true. - A Win10 product key can normally only be used for one computer. Incidentally, it is stored in the UEFI / BIOS.
However, you can still perform a free Win10 upgrade on your laptop.

Before you start, charge the laptop battery fully and leave the power adapter connected.
If your WLAN connection is not really stable, connect the laptop to the Internet via LAN to be on the safe side.
Addendum: I forgot to mention that an installed Win10 can also be activated by entering a Win7 product key.
