Sims 4 on CD Rom saves still there after Windows Update?

I have a problem:

I play Sims 4 on an older laptop that runs on Windows 7 - which is a bit of a problem, which is why we want to install Windows 10. I play on CD Rom, can I simply update the laptop, download the game again, insert the CD and the game is back?
