What happens if Microsoft Abo 365 is not renewed?

I bought a laptop a good year ago. A free annual subscription for Microsoft Office 365 was included. This is now expiring. What happens to my data (especially saved in Word) if I do not extend it and can I still use Word or is it then blocked?

In any case I don't need Word, the other programs like Excel etc.

Either you pay or you can no longer open your data.

You can probably keep using it. Only the Save function is no longer available

Nonsense. There's enough freeware that can open it.
