Office / microsoft 365?

I need help quickly!
I recently got a laptop with a "Microsoft 365 single" code that came with it, but I don't need it because I have already received a package from my school. I sold this code on Ebay but it doesn't seem to work. The buyer said that the code had to be 5 digits and when I looked it was correct (you have to enter it on the Microsoft site). The code I received is only 4 digits long and therefore doesn't work.

My question to you was: Was the wrong code sent to me or do you have to enter it somewhere else (not on the Microsoft site)?

You have already found out for yourself what can be right. The product key for Office and Windows has 25 characters, i.e. 5 blocks with 5 characters each. There are neither 4 nor 5 digit product keys. The best thing to do is to contact the dealer who sold you the laptop or Microsoft support.
