I have a problem that I often forget my PC laptop on the bed without giving it a chance to air it. The keyboard was just hot again that you could only touch it for 5 seconds, at least the fan works because it is almost again is cool (I put my foot under it so that the fan can ventilate and it has space.) Anyway, I ask myself when could my pc be damaged by it? (not crashed yet) Would a person like me need something that measures temperature? I feel with my PC in midsummer

Yes, heat problems and coolers and fans and heat exchangers hide. = Heat build-up.
Get the program "HWMonitor". With this you can read out the temperatures of your PC / laptop parts. If everything is below 95 °, it's ok.
