Linux does not start because of the WLAN / Wi-Fi card?

I haven't found an answer to my problem with all of my Google skills. Help…

Facts:

Old Toshiba Satellite laptop with freshly flashed Lubuntu

all updates and upgrades of any kind made

new old Wi-Fi / WLAN card bought and installed on Willhaben

Problem:

every time before the boot / system start I have to unscrew the back, remove the card and when the screen shows the first signs of a boat (glows dark), the card comes back in and I can use the card properly

if I don't do that, the screen doesn't do anything and the HDD LED, which normally flashes, doesn't do anything

I'm really desperate and have no idea what could be.

On the old laptop there's a switch / button where the WLAN module can be switched on. This is one of the Fn keys, is different on every laptop.

In the Linux console there's a command rfkill with which the WLAN card can be switched on or off.

I could imagine that there's also the option "boot via LAN / WLAN" in the boot sequence of the BIOS.

Which WLAN card is it?

That would have occurred to me now. But the questioner doesn't answer.

I quickly took a screenshot of the ad and added it

The WLAN card from an HP laptop, I suspect is incompatible, does not work with your Toshiba Satellite laptop.

I would look for an Intel WLAN card that should fit your Toshiba Satellite laptop better.

Alternatively, you can get a WLAN stick for little money.

You're right…
