My laptop had an update a few days ago and when I used it today I went to Task Manager and noticed that it suddenly had 8 instead of 4 GB of RAM. How does that work or is it just a display error?

Yes these four gigabytes of memory are lost, that's a phenomenon I found out, but I can also find something to do with the battery or you don't know exactly what it is.
