DBAN, advertising has been displayed for 24 hours during the deletion process. How do I get to see the progress again?

With an old laptop I occasionally erase hard drives that I want to sell.

However, the program has been showing me an advertisement for over 24 hours, this picture does not change and so far no keystroke has worked to display the progress of the deletion again. I've never had that problem before. According to the prognosis, the deletion should be finished at 9:30 p.m., the hard disk can still be accessed without interruption.

How can I display the progress again?

Sounds to me like it did if it crashed.

If the hard drive controller LED on the PC / laptop is still on permanently, then I would let it continue working, otherwise it would break off.

Deletion processes in DBAN can, however, take a long time, depending on the number of deletion runs, size and speed of the hard disk. With 3-Pass I have never seen more than 12 hours before.

Thanks for the info, I use a fairly old laptop for this, the hard drive has 2TB, experience shows that deleting takes a long time. I thought the targeted 46 hours were realistic. However, I canceled the process this morning.

Also think that something had hung up there, access to the hard disk was continuous.
