Change Windows 10 boot order?

I want to delete my hard drive completely and then give away my Windows 10 laptop. That's why I would like to delete everything with the program DBAN and overwrite. I went and got the iso file of DBAN on a stick using a boot program. Then I went and burned the DBAN file onto a CD with CDBurner (there was an Iso burner)

But now my problem is that I do not know how I change the priority in the BIOS, because nowhere the usb or the cd is displayed.

Can you help me? Here is a picture of meimem Bios

Change Windows 10 boot order

You do not need an extra program for that. In W10 everything is included with on-board resources, including the Erase function. In Settings you can choose the simple deletion or the complete deletion. After that, your system is "virginal" again.

Gr

However one can restore the data with many special CSI programs. (Sry, I'm so exaggerating)

So

You have 2 boot options that you should be able to edit directly. The drive should appear in the list.

You also have the option to add new ones with "Add New Boot Option". But if you want to boot directly from CD, you have to edit number 1 and assign it to the CD drive.

If you are unsure, create a 3rd option and "safe" with 2 and then 3 so far the 2 options so that you will not get any problems with the reset if you still want to do that. But that would not really be important.

Ga

Yes… That could be important if you had top-secret data on your hard drive and wanted to sell your PC to the NSA.

Gr

Well, exactly that kind of data I have…

Gr

The problem is that I do not see the CD or USB drive anywhere

So

If I interpret the screenshot correctly, you would have to go from exactly 2 times down there and then at Boot Option # 1 Enter. Then a list with all possibilities should appear. The Generic Flash part on Option 2 should even be USB already.

In

Disable "secure boot" and enable "legacy USB Support".

Gr

If I set this to 1, the memory and restart, nothing happens.

So

Then try all options to delete and leave only the DVD drive.
