Hall I have a question
I have several antivirus programs on my laptop (Windows 10) how do I know which is activated.
You should basically just run ONE (good) antivirus program on the machine, because several only slow down each other and unnecessarily allocate resources.
Yes I know I have only 1 (I hope) run I just want to know how I experience which is activated
First of all, you should only have one installed, so that not one antivirus tool "recognizes" the comparison virus signatures of the other as a virus.
You can still control the processes of the Task Manager, if there are others running.
Many anti-virus tools can't really be deactivated (even if the menu item is so named).
Some anti-virus programs can only be installed if other existing anti-virus programs are uninstalled and removed.
Example: Norton Security
Windows Defender automatically goes down - inactive.
Ah, good idea, thank you
